Senior Geotechnical Engineer

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education (Major/Degree)

Tertiary qualified Civil Engineering or Mining engineering.

Job experience

Minimum 10 years in an open pit geotechnical role, exposure to large open pit operations is desirable.

Job experience in mining or other heavy industry

• Previous experience on projects located in extreme cold weather climates.

Managerial experience

Experience in management of a geotechnical team is desirable.

Computer skills

• Good Microsoft Software skills required;
• Experience with earthworks design and volume calculations (Deswik, Micromine, other design packages);
• Experience with numerical analysis for slope stability (Flac, Soilvision, Abaqus).

Special requirements

• Knowledge of hydrology and hydrogeology concepts to adequately manage the hydrology team;
• Ability to handle multiple tasks;
• Able to withstand stress;
• Willingness to work overtime when needed.

Place of work

 Position will be based initially in Moscow until Q4 2023, then the position will be moved to site - during construction phase rotation is 8 weeks on 3 weeks off.
