POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Technical University degree (Bachelor, Masters).
  • Minimum 15 years. Strong mine design and planning skills, with the ability to generate and optimize plans and schedules.
  • Minimum 10 years. Ability to coordinate and lead multidisciplinary mine engineering teams in a collaborative and results biased manner

JOB DUTIES

  • Generate short range and life of mine plans including associated designs, schedules and production forecasts.
  • Accountable for implementing mine planning systems and establishing procedures and processes to support planning requirements.
  • Accountable for planning and forecasting activities to support business planning, budget, marketing and production planning processes.
  • Ensure geotechnical monitoring programs are in place for open pit wall designs, ore stockpiles and waste disposal structures
  • Accountable for all production ore quality control programs and grade control programs (include design, execution, monitoring and auditing processes).
  • Technical support and management of mine dispatch and mine performance reporting.
  • Technical support of mine engineering systems.
  • Technical support of drill and blast (D&B) programs. Management of D&B optimization processes.
  • Support site wide water balance and tailings planning activities.
  • Ensure mine operations are in compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements.
